The evaluation criteria is tougher than ever before. Although not required, we strongly advise to study the criteria thoroughly, as they contain valuable information you need to familiarize yourself with the working and requirements for this award.

Why you need to understand the criteria

Our criteria has become a complete "self evaluation" guide, intended to help you "prepare" your site to comply with a set of important website issues, as they are evaluated in most top award programs.

Websites are evaluated in 5 sections of 20 points each - 100 points in total - all of great importance in website presentation. You might even wonder why some of these points counts, more the reason why we urge you to read the criteria to understand it better. All criteria pages can be printed out for your convenience. We will never force you to read them all, but it will certainly help a great deal if you do.

The criteria contains valuable point-by-point information on all evaluation subjects. Within you will find full explanations of all evaluation subjects, hints, resources, references, examples and more to help you on your way. You can even evaluate your own site while reading our criteria!

Evaluate your own site?

Evaluate your own site while reading the criteria! If you are interested to see for yourself how your site weighs up against our criteria, we recommend downloading a copy of the score card (see the link on the right hand side), and keep score.

Also read the self evaluation info page to find out how to use and conduct a self evaluation using our criteria. [Read the info page]
