They believe website awards play an important role in the development of quality Internet content and that those sponsoring award programs have a responsibility to conduct their programs with the highest degree of integrity and respect for their participants. APEX exists to recognize ethical Internet practices and promote professional award related practices by fostering cooperation and solidarity, as well as providing educational and other resources.
Full Membership (CEM) is granted to Website owners who have Award Programs, who evaluate for same, who hold to a high Ethical code, and who comply with the Criteria for Membership. Until October 2001, I've served as permanent member on the application panel. (Review sites who enrolled for CEM/CEMA membership) We take great pride in being accepted as a full member! This does not mean that each award you are applying for has the same set of criteria. It simply helps to set moral standards for Website Awards in general. AEGC, The Awards Ethics Club of Germany is another organization for for respectable award masters from all states and countries.
